- The future hunter…but not so much right now.
A lot of us know that cats are natural hunters – and their hunting instincts kick off at an early age. Take this momma-kitty duo in the video. Kitty cat can be seen playing with its mom’s tail by chasing it and playfully pouncing on it. All the while, kit’s mom is just allowing her baby to “hunt” her tail.
In reality, however, mommy cat is being vigilant as she keeps a watchful eye and an observant ear to everything and everyone – ensuring that there are no threats that can threaten her or her kitten.
- An army of fluff!
One distinct cat trait that many of them possess is the lack of sheepishness – they will straight up just let you know (in the form of meows that they want food, and they want it ASAP! In this video, we can see an “army” of farm cats harmoniously meowing at their human.
To these cats’ owner, it’s pretty evident what the kits wanted: it’s none other than food! And as soon as their hooman gave them food, their meows instantly turned to purrs.
- Besties?
Cats and birds are usually mortal enemies. The two animals are prime examples of predator vs. prey – and to many feral cats, birds are one of their main source of food. However, it can’t be said that 100% of cats will undoubtedly hunt birds – because the bird in this video doesn’t seem threatened by the presence of the kitten!
The chick and kitten in the video seem to have a great friendship. They can even be seen sleeping beside each other. Let’s hope it remains that way for these two best friends!
Bonus: All cats like boxes!
This video deserves to be here just as much – because it also (technically) consists of cats; albeit big ones! The video seems to be taken at a sanctuary or zoo. And these lions and tigers can be seen enjoying the cardboard boxes that they were given (almost as much as their domesticated and much smaller counterparts)!
The top comment (posted by @StarkSpider24) says, “This is how scientists identified them as part of the cat family” – and as non-experts, we’d like to imagine that the professionals did indeed conduct such a comical experiment!
